This week, Michigan International Speedway is the venue for the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Michigan International Speedway is in Auto One’s backyard near the city of Brooklyn, Michigan in an area known as the scenic Irish Hills. We have many Nascar fans in the Auto One office, and everyone has a different prediction for this week’s race.
Built in the late 1960s, Michigan International Speedway has undergone many changes over the years including using a special polymer asphalt on the track to protect it from the harsh Michigan winters.
“Michigan International Speedway (MIS) provides automakers and after-market manufacturers the ability to test and develop connected vehicle systems and other technologies in a protected, neutral, closed, safe and convenient environment.”1
If you are attending the event, the MIS Web site has event planning resources.
Just announced on Friday, the Free Kids tickets program has been extended to include both Turn 3 and Turn 1.
We’ll be in Turn three and on the in-field. Hope to see you there.
