It’s an exciting time for aftermarket accessories. With SEMA and AAPEX shows at the beginning of the month, November is always a big month for new product announcements. The Auto One aftermarket experts picked out these accessories as products car enthusiasts would like for Christmas and the holidays.
New Aftermarket Accessories
Pioneer connects to Alexa
Pioneer’s flagship NEX in-dash receiver features the latest automotive connectivity solutions, including Amazon Alexa built-in. With Alexa, users can talk to Amazon Alexa directly through the Pioneer NEX receiver.
Dee Zee Tailgate Board
Dee Zee has added their Tailgate Prep Boards to the tailgate protection product line. It is a solid work surface that screws into existing factory holes.
Brandmotion Truck Camera
Traditional cargo cameras only work when the vehicle is in reverse! The Brandmotion FullVUE Cargo Camera System offers a new approach: an always-on HD video mirror with a truck-specific integrated third brake light camera.
Blue Ox Fifth Wheel Hitches
Blue Ox unveiled two new Blue Ox fifth-wheel hitches, the BXR2100 and the BXR2410. Both models feature true kingpin connection with no adapters. The hitch head guides the kingpin into place. Tested to SAE J2638.
Winners from SEMA 2022
In addition to all of these product announcements, there were many SEMA product winners to review. From the SEMA website, “these awards are given to the most innovative and cutting-edge automotive aftermarket products that will be consumable in 2022. Nearly 2,000 products were entered into the 18 different Showcase categories to be considered for SEMA New Product Awards. Winners were selected based on a variety of factors.”
Electric Vehicle Product
By combining a proprietary algorithm with state-of-the-art audio processing and amplification technology, Borla’s Active Performance Sound System mirrors speed, power, RPM, torque and load with zero latency. The system intensifies the sensation and excitement of EV driving, adding that “auditory connection” drivers covet.

TrailFX Ford Bronco flat steel fender flares are a durable and stylish addition that provide additional clearance for larger wheel and tire packages as well as protection from road or tail hazards.
Interior Accessory Product
The Legend Mirror DVR Power Switch System by Acumen Robot Intelligence is a multifunctional off-road DVR recorder, featuring 1080p front and rear recording, integrated switch control system, backup assistance, parking monitoring and App control. The integrated switch panel is equipped with an 8-gang switch control, Acumen Box, which allows up to Eight circuits, Two rated at 40 amps each and Six rated 20 amps each.
Van/Pickup/Sport-Utility Product
Ridge Ready Monkey Bars by SeaSucker are designed with four 3.25” oval cups in the front and two in the rear, which sit neatly inside the ridges on your roof for the perfect fit. The Monkey Bars feature round black powder-coated aluminum cross bars; choose between the standard 48” cross bars and the extended 60” cross bars. Either version allows you to easily attach accessories for activities such as kayaking, skiing, surfing and paddle boarding, biking, or hauling cargo.
Mobile Electronics Product
One of the newest and most exciting products on display at SEMA will be the AudioControl SRK-JK11H, an integrated version of the existing Jeep Wrangler JK Stinger 10-inch multimedia HEIGH10® kit. This means Jeep Wrangler JK drivers will now have access to vehicle information and off-road screens on their 10-inch touchscreen HEIGH10.
