Many Auto One stores have become that ‘landmark store’ in their communities. After twenty years, it’s safe to say that Auto One Fenton has become one of those key stores in the Leroy Road shopping district in Fenton, Michigan.
Beginning as a Franchise Store
Although it’s a corporate store today, Auto One Fenton started as a franchise location. In the early 2000s, Auto One launched several franchise locations in Michigan and Indiana including Fenton. Most new businesses close after their first year in business, but with the help of Auto One Corporate, Auto One Fenton the franchise thrived for five years.
In 2006, New Auto One purchased the franchise system and consolidated Livingston County sales around four corporate stores including Auto One Fenton.
Fifteen Years as a Corporate Store
Auto One’s franchise model of auto glass and truck accessories is stronger than the steel in the trucks we upgrade. “The last fifteen years have seen a lot of turbulence — the Great Recession of 2007-2009, the road construction project that closed Leroy Road for a year, and most recently the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Ron Overbeck, Auto One Director of Operations. “Despite stay at home orders and closures, today the store is experiencing a sales renaissance. We’re very honored to serve the auto enthusiasts in Fenton.”
Twenty More Years of Success
Like many small businesses, Auto One Fenton has been through a lot and has grown stronger with each of the challenges. “We’re looking forward to twenty more successful years as Fenton’s must visit store for auto glass replacement and truck accessories,” said Ron. “We invite customers new and old to visit Travis Hauk, current store manager, to chat about their next automotive upgrade or windshield replacement.”
